Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

web2droid.com is a marketing site. We collect information in two ways:

• The contact form. When you submit a project brief we receive the name, email, company, project type, budget range, and message you enter, plus your IP address (kept for spam prevention and rate-limiting, not tracking).
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — pages visited, approximate location, device type, and which on-site actions you take (for example, clicking "Start a project"). This is aggregate, not tied to your name or email.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run retargeting pixels, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

2. How we use it and why

Contact-form submissions are used only to respond to your enquiry and, if we work together, to run the engagement. Analytics data is used only to understand and improve the site — which pages are useful, which aren't, whether the site is actually helping people reach us.

Our basis for processing a contact-form submission is that you gave it to us directly, for the specific purpose of reaching us about a project — this is "consent" in the sense the DPDP Act uses the word: a clear, informed, opt-in action, not an assumption. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Your rights" below), which stops any further use of it, though it doesn't undo anything already sent, like a reply we've already emailed you.

3. Service providers

The contact form is handled by our own server-side script, hosted alongside this site — it is not passed through a third-party form service. It stores your submission in a small internal database (outside the public web folder, not reachable over the internet) and emails it to our team. Analytics is provided by Google, which processes data under its own terms; our hosting is provided by Hostinger. Neither is given more data than it needs to do its job, and neither is authorized to use your data for its own purposes.

4. Retention

We keep enquiry submissions for as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, for the duration of a project and a reasonable period afterward — typically no more than a few years, to keep a record of past client work. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time, and we will, unless we're required to keep a record of it (for example, for tax or contractual reasons on a completed engagement).

5. Your rights under the DPDP Act

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you specific rights over data we hold about you. Email hello@web2droid.com and we'll act on any of these within a reasonable time:

• Access — ask what we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or out-of-date information.
• Erasure — ask us to delete it, subject to the retention exceptions above.
• Withdraw consent — tell us to stop using data you previously gave us.
• Grievance redressal — if you're not satisfied with how we've handled a request, email us and we'll escalate it directly; as a small studio, that's a direct conversation, not a ticket queue.

You can also block Google Analytics in your browser (most ad-blockers and privacy extensions do this by default) without affecting anything else on the site.

6. Security and breach notification

Contact-form data is stored outside the public web folder, denied by server rule even if the folder structure ever changed, and never included in the built static site. If a data breach affecting your personal data ever occurred, we would notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

7. Children's data

This site is intended for business use by founders and companies. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, email us and we'll delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you've seen the update; for anything significant, we'll also say so directly if we're actively working with you.
